High Country has a long history of helping solve Wildlife and Predator problems.
From our inception, we have designed successful systems for excluding Bears, Canid species, Elk, Deer and even Beaver, Sheep, Cattle from high-value crops. Many operations have benefited from our electric fence systems. We have conducted many hands-on-trainings for numerous agencies, both state and federal.
Having trouble with bears? We can help. Protect your garden, chickens, beehives, game -- and even your hummingbird feeder with our effective solutions.
Bear and Wildlife Exclusion
Products come in various heights and lengths and can be set up as hot ground netting as well as all hot netting.
Electrified Poultry Net
Bears only fear things they consider a threat to themselves. For this reason it is important to use at least a 1/2 joule energizer when it comes to shocking bears.
Bear Exclusion Fence
Watch the video, it uses a P5 energizer, and the bear learns that the fence is more than it cares to deal with. The fence shown in the video is about 45 feet long and 36-40 inches tall. This is an excellent solution for food storage in the back country.
Chicken - Poultry Fence
Whether it is garbage cans, fruit trees, the garden or some other food source, bears are looking hard for something to eat. Electric fencing is fast becoming the solution used to solve the problem.
Electrified netting is a very effective deterrent for any predator that likes to kill and eat chickens.
Protect your Poultry
Ask your dealer about using electric fence to protect your flock from predators before you lose them to bears, coyotes, fox or the neighbor's dogs or cats. An electric fence using poultry netting is less expensive than you think. Contact us for details.
6 Wire Permanent Sheep Fence
An electric 6-wire permanent sheep fence is effective at keeping sheep in, and predators out.
Kodiak Grizzly Bears
Remember the golden rule ~~ NEVER ANNOY THE BEAR ~~ More power and a good fence design is the important thing to instill a respect for boundaries.
Bears and Cabins
In addition to using an electric perimeter fence, ring insulators can be used to hold a hot wire on the side of a cabin. An "unwelcome mat" can be used with this set-up. See video of mat:
Ring Insulators on Corner
Here is a typical cabin corner. Ring insulators are placed at intervals to hold the cable away from the building.
