Greg DeSaye was born and raised on a family ranch in north central Montana, near the Canadian border. His father was also a gun dealer, so Greg was raised with shooting and hunting activities. He completed high school in Turner, Montana and attended college at Havre. After college, Greg worked on ranches and then livestock feed sales.
In 1977, after helping his dad move the gun business to Arizona, Greg helped run the business for ten years. He got involved with power fences and High Country Ag Marketing (HCAM) in 1986 when he moved back to Montana and opened a ranch supply store. In 1996, Greg sold the ranch supply store and became a contractor for HCAM, promoting their products in Eastern Montana and Eastern Idaho.
Greg and his wife, Patty, have been married since 1970 and have two daughters and five grandchildren. Greg's hobbies include training and riding horses and helping rancher friends work cattle. Greg is still a gun dealer and is involved in a couple gun shows each year. He also has a small mail order business. With his son-in-laws and grandsons, Greg continues to hunt and participates in competitive combat shooting.
